TVM™ Pelvic Floor
TVM™ Pelvic Floor sessions are an intimate and profound process in which we are rewriting the relationship with our pelvic and genital area, treating it with total integrity and presence, to generate a space for healing, restructuring and liberation. By working with our pelvic floor, we are able to access patterns of fear, control, numbness and more, making these sessions a powerful space for transmuting and deepening our relationship with ourselves.
Our pelvic floor is a hammock-like structure which, through muscles, ligaments, fascia and tissues, supports our internal organs and brings stability to the entire body.
This area of our body is extremely sensitive and receptive, which is why multiple emotions and traumas tend to accumulate in this area, affecting our physical and psychological structure in multiple ways.
I invite you to think about all the vital functions that require the strength and support of your pelvic floor: sexual relations, childbirth, bowel movements and urination. These are all vital functions, many of which happen daily, yet few of us pay attention to the health of our pelvic floor. In fact, many of us are completely disconnected from this vital space that exists within us.
Our pelvic floor literally supports the internal and external organs that are capable of creating life, so referring to it as a space of deep connection or disconnection with life is not an exaggeration. And it is precisely for this reason that pelvic floor TVM™ sessions have so much healing potential; because it reconnects us to life, joy and sensations.
What can I expect from a TVM Pelvic Floor session?
-
First and foremost, know that a TVM™ Pelvic Floor session is treated as a sacred space in which your safety and comfort as well as your needs are the number one priority.
-
Pelvic floor sessions are usually arranged after you have worked a couple of sessions of normal TVM™, giving your body a chance to get used to this therapy, as well as trusting the therapeutic nature of my touch.
-
A typical pelvic floor TVM™ session lasts between 3 and 5 hours in total. It begins with an informative talk, as well as a space to create agreements, and continues with a normal TVM™ session, before starting work on the pelvic area.
-
Once the work with the pelvic floor begins, there is constant communication to ensure that our body and our heart agree with each touch and each action.
-
The objective of this process itself is to bring presence to the body and connect with the fascia and the different emotions stored in it. Our sessions have no final objective, other than to relate in an integral and loving way with the pelvic floor, giving it the opportunity to trust and reconnect.
-
In some sessions the process will lead us to internal work, and in others the process will simply occur through external work. The important thing is to listen to your body and establish a new relationship with your pelvic area and your entire body.
-
Unlike other types of therapies focused on the pelvic floor, these sessions don’t have pleasure, nor the exploration of it as their aim, however the possibility of experiencing pleasurable sensations is not excluded from the session.
How to book a session?
Since TVM ™ pelvic floor work is very intimate and delicate work, it is important to establish a therapeutic relationship in which you feel completely trusting and secure. For this reason, in order to schedule this type of work it is important to have had at least two TVM ™ sessions in which we prepare your body to work the pelvic area.
